A message from brother Jim Padilla '92

In December of 2005, my oldest son, Christian (6) passed away unexpectedly following a routine surgery. One of the first calls I made was to my Brother, Mark Aiello. Mark was kind enough to let everyone one of the Brothers I knew and he keeps in contact with know about the tragedy (people I have not spoken with since leaving MSU).

I received numerous emails, cards, flowers and phone calls from Brothers I have not spoken with in years and my family and I cannot thank them enough. So if you could post this following message in some manner, it would be greatly appreciated.

“To my brothers and their families, I cannot begin to express my family’s feelings upon receiving the countless number of emails, cards, flowers and phone calls following my son’s death. From memory, I do want to specifically thank the following Brothers and their families: Mark Aiello (though our contact is rare, it is always special), Randy Broussard, Ken Weil, Tim Downey, David Dailey, Don Rogers, Bill Ruane, Tim Lynch, Chris Cahill and Joe Cavicchiolo (watch out for bats! Not the baseball kind, but the flying kind! – attic joke for those who don’t get it). In the event I forgot to mention someone, I apologize and thank you for your kindness. Although many may not realize yet, the people you drank, played sports and studied with for four years (in Durak’s case, I think it is generations) really are your Brothers! SIG PI TIL I DIE!!!!"
