ACE project (Altruistic Campus Experience): Newly adopted by Sigma Pi Fraternity, International the "Sigma Pi ACE Program" began in 2003 at the Mid-year Leadership Conference, when members noted that more had to be done to help our host institutions. The purpose: to instill pride and respect for one's alma mater by directly performing philanthropic activities that specifically benefit the university or its faculty, staff, and administration. Check back soon for the latest Zeta-Mu ACE Project at Michigan State University! miss greek beauty pageant: Each year Sigma Pi holds this annual beauty pageant benefiting the American Red Cross and East Lansing community. Sorority women from each sorority participate and over the years, competition has become fierce. The brothers of Sigma Pi take great pride in the service they have provided for individuals in need. Checkout our Miss Greek section of our site! greek week: Each spring Sigma Pi participates in Greek Week. To win, teams must complete a major fundraising drive for charities such as the Area 8 Special Olympics, the Ronald McDonald House, the Make A Wish Foundation, the East Lansing Community Relations Coalition & the American Cancer Society. Sigma Pi has topped the rest. In Greek Week 2005 Sigma Pi raised nearly $18,000 and was crowned champions again, winning the charity fundraising for the 4th year in a row! delta gamma's anchor splash: Fall 2004, Sigma Pi was crowned Anchor Splash Champions. In this event benefiting the blind, Sigma Pi dominated in each of the song/dance and swimming events. With a previous Anchor Man title in 2002, our own RJ Mattern was crowned the 2004 Anchor Man pictured on the 2004-2005 Delta Gamma composite. alpha chi omega's softball smash: Each spring, Alpha Chi Omega sorority holds their annual Softball Smash tournament benefiting Domestic Assault victims. In 2003, Sigma Pi participated and took home the crown winning 1st place overall. chi omega karen king kickoff: Each fall, Chi Omega sorority holds their annual Soccer Kickoff tournament benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation. Sigma Pi has won this philanthropy event three years in a row with titles in 2003, 2004 & 2005. safe halloween & the east lansing community: Every year Sigma Pi participates in Safe Halloween, benefiting the children of East Lansing. Each fall, the entire Greek community comes together for this event, sponsored by the MSU Inter-Fraternity and Pan-Hellenic councils. This past fall, the chapter participated with Kappa Delta, creating a haunted house on MAC Ave. Children along with their parents were invited to come through the house.
